Asthma Management Resources-Blue Cross and Blue Shield's Federal Employee Program

Asthma Management Resources

You can live better with asthma by taking steps to protect your health. Use these tools and resources to get started.

Living with asthma can be tough, so we’ve worked hard to develop tools and resources that will help you gain more control over the life you want.

Refill Your Rx Online
One of the most important steps in managing asthma is to use the correct controller medications as directed and get refills as needed. To ensure your prescriptions are always ready for you, we’ve partnered with CVS/caremark to bring you easy online refills.

Asthma Tracker
Track your medication and inhaler use and monitor how well you're breathing with measurements like peak expiratory flow and forced expiratory volume. Your information will automatically be stored in one convenient, secure place in your Personal Health Record.

Wellness Incentive Program
Properly managing your asthma comes with more than just health rewards. You may earn up to $170 in wellness incentives just by protecting your health. For example, start by completing your Blue Health Assessment. It only takes about 10 minutes, and you can earn $50. You can also set asthma-related goals with your Online Health Coach. You can get support meeting those goals, track your progress, and earn up to $120.

Personal Support
We offer patient education and clinical support through our Care Management Programs. Contact your local Blue Cross and Blue Shield company to find more information on the asthma management program near you.

With our Nurse Line, you can also speak to a registered nurse 24/7 to get answers to your asthma-related questions and receive advice and guidance about your health. You’re invited to chat online, email or call 1-888-258-3432 any time, day or night.

Asthma Message Board Exchange
If you have asthma, you’re not alone. Get support from other members with asthma in our Asthma Community. You can learn more about the condition, and discuss topics including managing your medication, coping with wheezing, identifying triggers, and raising children with asthma.
