Learn your Medicare healthcare options under your Blue Cross and Blue Shield Service Benefit Plan.

Together, the Blue Cross and Blue Shield Service Benefit Plan and Medicare can protect you from the high cost of medical care.

What is Medicare?

Medicare is a federal health insurance program for people age 65 or older, people under age 65 who are disabled and people of any age who have End Stage Renal Disease (permanent kidney failure requiring dialysis or a transplant). Your Service Benefit Plan benefits plus Medicare coverage work together to maximize your benefits and minimize your out-of-pocket costs. Before deciding to enroll, it’s important to review the four parts of Medicare, the type of coverage they provide and whether it’s right for you.
