Attention: Online Health Coach will no longer be available after December 31, 2023.

You can still work on your health goals from now until then, just keep these dates in mind:

- Any condition-related goals, such as those for asthma, hypertension or COPD, must be started by September 29 and completed by December 31, 2023.

- Any lifestyle goals, such as those for reducing stress, losing weight or exercising more, must be started by November 29 and completed by December 31, 2023.

Any eligible goals completed by the dates listed above will still qualify for the $40 wellness incentive.

Reaching your health and wellness goals can be hard to do on your own

But the Online Health Coach is here to help. A combination of guidance support and resources, it can encourage you to:

  • Set and manage goals
  • Create a plan of care
  • Track your progress
  • Pursue healthy activities

As part of our Wellness Incentive Program, Standard and Basic Option members can earn rewards after they complete the Blue Health Assessment and achieve up to three Online Health Coach goals*. You'll receive $40 for each eligible goal completed, up to three, for $120 total.

You'll earn incentives for completing these goals:

  • Reducing stress
  • Losing weight
  • Exercising more
  • Feeling happier
  • Eating better

Incentives can also be earned when you complete goals related to managing the following conditions:

  • Asthma
  • Heart disease
  • Heart failure
  • Hypertension
  • Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD)


Keep in mind that most goals take about a month to complete, but some can take up to three months. Any rewards earned will be loaded onto your MyBlue® Wellness Card. You can use these funds for qualified medical expenses, such as copayments and prescriptions.

A great way to make strides toward achieving your exercise goal is to sync your fitness device with your MyBlue® account. You’ll be able to automatically track your progress as you work on earning rewards.

Connect your fitness tracker

Fitness trackers are a popular and easy way for you to monitor your fitness activities.They can help you monitor everything from the number of steps you take each day to calories burned and hours slept. And MyBlue® makes it even easier to track your progress.

Connect your wearable activity tracker or favorite mobile fitness app to your HealthTools account and find your health goals in one centralized, secure place. Once set up, your associated data will be automatically updated in the Online Health Coach and your Personal Health Record.
