5 Easy Steps To Help Prevent Stress

Being more anxious, worried or irritable can be a natural reaction when you feel like your time and your resources are being stretched too thin. Here are 5 ways to help you maintain more balance in your life.

  1. Track your time
Write down the most important things you want to be spending your time on. What do you want to get done? What are you actually doing? Look at your list to see how you can make adjustments.

  2. Learn to say no
It’s ok to say no! If things don’t fit in your priority list or if you can’t find the time to run an errand, try to reschedule some tasks for later or ask for help from your friends and family.

  3. Be more proactive in your down time
Spending more time on social media than you realize? If you need to switch some of your habits up, try yoga or breathing exercises or a new hobby.

  4. Schedule your personal time
You may be used to scheduling meetings and making to-do lists at work, but does this habit carry over to your personal time? Making plans for the other hours in your day can help you feel more motivated.

  5. Reflect on the ups and the downs
Take a moment to think about your goals and how you are spending your time. Though there will be days where you lose track of your priorities, being aware of these sorts of situations should help you adjust to whatever life has brought your way.
