Do We Have Your Current Address?
Have you moved recently? It is very important that we have your current address and that the address we have on our files is correct.
Why? First, local Blue Cross and Blue Shield Plans use the address in our files to send out Explanation of Benefits and other special mailings that maybe important to your coverage, such as the termination of a provider from our Preferred network. Second, we use the address in our files to send out the annual fall mailing to current members. This mailing, required by the US Office of Personnel Management (OPM), includes the official brochure for the upcoming year as well as the Straight Talk newsletter. The newsletter describes changes to your coverage for the upcoming year in plain language to help you understand how the changes may affect you and your family. Finally, we will be mailing out new digital image ID cards to all our members in the upcoming months in 2010 and the beginning of 2011. Therefore, having the correct address in our files helps you manage your coverage and receive information about your coverage.
So, it’s time to make sure we have the right address for you. You can go online to Customer eService and check the address in our files. If it is not correct, you can make changes online. You can also call the customer service area at your local Blue Cross and Blue Shield Plan at the number on the back of your ID card to verify your address.
