Think of MyBlue as a doorway Blue Cross and Blue Shield Service Benefit Plan members pass through to gain unrestricted access to even more doorways (i.e., multiple Partner sites like CVS Caremark, Health Tools, Blue Health Connection, MyBlue Customer eService, etc.), where a wealth of health and healthcare resources and tools are waiting. Your MyBlue account is a convenient key that unlocks the first one, and subsequently, all of them -- a term known as Single Sign On (SSO).
Members must first go through a one-time registration process for MyBlue to gain unrestricted future access privileges to Partner sites. Login IDs from sites like MyBlue Customer eService, CVS Caremark, Health Tools, etc., are not the same as your MyBlue account, and do not provide the same convenient and seamless experience moving from site to site.
Simply put -- for privacy and security reasons. Blue Cross Blue Shield considers your privacy and the security of your personal health information our highest priorities. Therefore, we require each member to create a separate username and provide a unique e-mail address to ensure any personal information is communicated only to you.
